Agentic AI for SMEs

Design and deploy autonomous AI teammates that understand goals, plan, use tools, and execute multi-step processes for your business.

Format
1 day (8 hours, including breaks)
Level
Advanced
Prerequisite
Course 1: AI & Prompt Engineering for SMEs and Course 2: AI-Powered Business Automation for SMEs

Overview

Welcome to the cutting edge of practical AI. This advanced workshop moves beyond single-prompt interactions and pre-defined workflows to explore the world of Agentic AI. An AI Agent is a system that can understand a goal, break it down into tasks, execute those tasks using various tools, and learn from the results — all with minimal human intervention. For an SME, this means creating autonomous 'AI teammates' that handle complex, multi-step processes like conducting market research, managing email inboxes, or planning projects. Participants learn the fundamental concepts behind AI agents, explore user-friendly platforms for building them, and design their first agent to tackle a real-world business challenge.

Course schedule & modules

  • Module 1 — The Future is Agentic: from prompts to processes
  • Module 2 — Anatomy of an AI Agent: the agentic loop (Plan → Act → Observe → Learn), goals, tools, memory, the agent's 'constitution'
  • Module 3 — No-code agent platforms: showcase and hands-on first agent
  • Module 4 — Designing for your business: deconstructing complex objectives into agent-executable processes
  • Module 5 — Steering an agent: master prompts, feedback loops, course correction
  • Module 6 — Risks and guardrails: when to use agents vs standard automation, and how to keep humans in the loop
  • Module 7 — Blueprint your first business agent: goal, tools, KPIs

What you'll leave with

  • Define Agentic AI and explain how it differs from chatbots and standard automations
  • Describe agents in terms of goal, planning, tools, and memory
  • Build a simple AI agent with a clear goal and at least one tool (e.g., web search)
  • Write a high-level master prompt that defines an agent's purpose and constraints
  • Assess whether a process suits an agent or a standard automation
  • Design a complete blueprint for an AI agent tailored to your business

Audience

  • SME leaders and operators ready to build autonomous AI teammates for multi-step business processes.
